Enhanced second-harmonic generation based on surface nonlinearity in slot nanofibers

Abstract

Enhancement of the surface second-harmonic generation in optical nanofibers by slot structure is demonstrated numerically. This so-called slot nanofiber is promising to provide a competing platform for ultra-tiny fiber lasers including ultraviolet and visible light.
