Abstract

We propose a modified cascaded multi-modulus algorithm (M-CMMA) for blind polarization de-multiplexing of high order QAM signals in coherent optical receivers. M-CMMA has a lower OSNR penalty, a faster convergence speed and a smaller steady-state error compared with constant modulus algorithm (CMA) and modified constant modulus algorithm (M-CMA).
