Abstract

We experimentally evaluate the performance of analog signal transmission in a silicon microring resonator. The analog signal quality is affected mainly by the nonlinearity of silicon waveguide when the wavelength is outside the 3-dB bandwidth while by the filtering effect of microring notch filter when inside the 3-dB bandwidth.
