Abstract

Saturable-absorber-based auto-tracking filter is incorporated in Brillouin/erbium fiber laser (BEFL) to achieve single-longitudinal-mode (SLM) operation. It has a linewidth reduction ratio of 33.3 and a tuning range over the entire C-band.
