System Performance Evaluation of Stimulated Brillouin Scattering Based Narrowband Rectangular Optical Filter

Abstract

We propose a narrowband rectangular optical filter based on stimulated Brillouin scattering with flexible bandwidth and ~1-dB passband ripple. Only small performance penalty is observed when employing the filter into the OFDM system.
