A Hierarchical DBA Algorithm for High Fairness in TDM-PON

Abstract

An enhanced DBA algorithm based on hierarchical timeslot allocation is theoretically analyzed and experimentally demonstrated. Experiment results prove that the algorithm could obviously improve the fairness with almost negligible throughput penalty in 40G/10Gbps TDM-PON.
