Dispersion and Loss Analysis in Circular and Bragg Core Passive Silicon Waveguides

Abstract

Influences of geometry to tailor dispersion with corresponding propagation loss are presented for circular and bragg core silicon waveguides. Enhanced dispersion with low loss (1–1.5dB/cm) demands careful selection of waveguides according to nature of applications.
