Any Bias Point Control Technique for Mach-Zehnder Modulator

Abstract

A bias control scheme for the Mach–Zehnder modulator is proposed. The average output optical power and its deviations are used as feedback signal. This technique without dither signal can realize any bias point control. Its effectiveness is demonstrated with experiments.
