Chirped Microwave Waveform Generation Based on Reconstruction of the Required Frequency Response

Abstract

A novel approach to generating chirped microwave signal by using a photonic microwave delay-line filter (PMDLF) is proposed. A design example of a 37-tap PMDLF is provided, and generation of the desired signal is demonstrated by numerical simulations.
