Tunable-Bandwidth Optical Parametric Amplifier Based on Intermodal Four-Wave Mixing in a Few-Mode Fiber

Abstract

An optical parametric amplifier based on intermodal four-wave mixing in few-mode fibers is proposed. The results show that tunable amplification bandwidth from 1GHz to 60GHz can be realized by changing the wavelength of the pumps.
