Widely Wavelength-Tunable and Amplitude-Equalized Rational Harmonic Mode-Locked Laser Employing a Bismuth-Based Highly Nonlinear Erbium-Doped Fiber

Abstract

We demonstrate a rational harmonic mode-locked laser using a bismuth-based nonlinear erbium-doped fiber. The cavity length is 6m. Amplitude-equalized stable short pulses up to 40GHz are obtained for the wavelength tunable range covering the CL-band.
