Abstract
Nonlinear crosstalk has been the main capacity-limiting impairment in fiber optic transmission for at least 20 years. In this contribution we present an in-depth analysis of successful cancellation of the nonlinear interaction, ultimately leading to our ability to, for the first time, successfully mitigate this long standing impediment in fiber optic communication.
