Experimental demonstration of simultaneous high-spatial-resolution and sweep-free Brillouin optical time-domain analysis using phonon pre-excitation

Abstract

Simultaneous high spatial resolution and sweep-free Brillouin optical time-domain analysis sensor using phonon pre-excitation is proposed and demonstrated. The spatial resolution can be enhanced considerably using this method (better than ~60cm).
