Fiber-laser-based 1.2 micron femtosecond Cherenkov radiation source and its applications on nonlinear light microscopy

Abstract

Despite communications and machining, fiber lasers can be utilized for nonlinear light microscopy. 1.55 μm pulses from an Er-doped-fiber-laser were transformed into 1.2-μm and the practical use of the fiber-optic on nonlinear microscopy was demonstrated.
