Radiation-Resistant Characteristics of the Germanium and Fluorine Co-doped Single Mode Optical Fiber

Abstract

A germanium and fluorine co-doped single mode optical fiber with high transmission capacity and an improved radiation-resistant characteristic is reported. The radiation-induced loss during irradiation is lower than 3dB/km at 1.31μm wavelength.
