Abstract
We experimentally demonstrate flexible control of the pulse repetition rate in a passively Q-switched fiber lasers using a carbon nanotube-embedded fiber-optic tunable coupler as a passive Q-switch. It is shown that the pulse repetition rate can readily be tuned from 13 to 21 kHz by mechanically adjusting the cross-coupling ratio of the coupler.
