Raman distributed temperature fiber-optic sensor based on single-mode fiber

Abstract

We report a distributed temperature fiber-optic sensor using Raman scattering in 5 km-long single-mode fiber around 1550 nm band. The spatial and temperature resolution are achieved with 30 m and 5°C, respectively.
