Design and analysis of hole-assisted few mode fiber with ultra-low differential mode group delay (DMGD)

Abstract

We designed a hole-assisted graded-index few mode fiber supporting 4 LP-modes with ultra-low DMGD. Less than 16ps/km across the C-band has been achieved and the sign of DMGD can be tailored by air holes’ structure.
