Spectrum-Maximized Sharing Protection in Software-Defined Elastic Optical Networks

Abstract

We develop a spectrum-maximized sharing protection approach (SMSPA) to improve the spectrum efficiency in software-defined elastic optical networks. Simulation results show that SMSPA significantly reduces the blocking probability and spectrum occupation ratio.
