Abstract

A novel distributed Fabry–Pérot semiconductor laser is proposed to achieve single-mode multiwavelength lasing from a single resonant cavity. As a proof of principle, a laser emitting simultaneously 4 lines spaced by 0.82 nm was demonstrated.
