Instantaneous Frequency Measurement Using Optical Pump Frequency Based Resonance Shift

Abstract

We exploit the pump frequency dependence of the Brillouin shift to demonstrate wide-bandwidth instantaneous frequency measurement (IFM). The proposed scheme has the potential to realize wide band (>50 GHz) IFM system.
