Photonic Multi-Pulse Position Modulation UWB Pulse Generation by Pre-coding and Optical Differentiating

Abstract

A photonic multi-pulse position modulation (multi-PPM) ultra-wideband (UWB) pulse generation scheme is proposed and demonstrated. By pre-coding and optical differentiating, multi-PPM positive and negative monocycle UWB pulses are generated, including 4-PPM and 8-PPM.
