Layer-by-layer bit allocation algorithm for discrete multi-tone modulation in VLC systems

Abstract

In this paper, a novel layer-by-layer bit allocation algorithm is proposed, which can effectively reduce the system complexity. Meanwhile, this algorithm complexity is lower than Chow algorithm and Greedy algorithm under the same resources allocation performance.
