High-Dimensional modulation for optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing communication system

Abstract

A high-dimensional modulation based Optical Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OOFDM) communication system is proposed. Simulation results show that the proposed high-dimensional based system offers a higher average optical power gain over traditional 2D modulation system under the same BER.
