Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate an Er-doped fiber ring laser passively mode-locked by a graphene/MoS2 van der Waals heterostructure, producing 830-fs soliton pulses at 1571.8 nm. Numerical simulations reproduce the generation of pulses in the experiment.
