Optical Tuning of Er/Yb Co-doped Fiber Bragg Gratings by Side Pumping

Abstract

We propose and demonstrate a new optical tuning method for Er/Yb co-doped fiber gratings based on side pumping. Wavelength-tunable notch filters are demonstrated with this technique.
