Abstract

A novel temperature- and strain-independent fiber twist sensor based on a Lyot filter is demonstrated. The sensitivities of the sensor with respect to twist, temperature and strain are - 15.586 dBm/rad, 0.00268 dBm/°C and -0.00099 dBm/με, respectively.
