Ultrafast and large bandwidth spectrum analyzer based on microwave photonics and temporal magnification

Abstract

A parametric temporal magnification system is introduced to a microwave photonics based electrical spectrum analyzer with large bandwidth (over 20 GHz). This scheme helps to achieve finer spectral resolution, as well as ~100-MHz frame rate.
