High Efficiency Wavelength Conversion Based on an SOA and Detuning Fano Filter

Abstract

An all-optical wavelength conversion using a semiconductor optical amplifier and a Fano filter is experimentally demonstrated. Due to the sharp falling characteristics of Fano filter, high efficiency non-inverted wavelength conversion is obtained with small detuning.
