100G Transmission over Ultra-long, G.655 (NZDSF) Unrepeatered Span

Abstract

This paper reports ultra-long 100G unrepeatered transmission on NZDSF. 4 × 120 Gb/s transmission over 402.7 km (82.8 dB) of NZDSF is achieved using a commercial Raman-based system and enhanced ROPAs with a dedicated pumping fiber.
