Three Dimensional Beam Splitter in Silica Substrate based on Orthogonal Cascaded Y-branch couplers

Abstract

A technique for constructing an innovative structure of the three dimensional beam splitter with a designable feature is demonstrated. Orthogonal cascaded Y-branch couplers are utilized. Perfect 3D beam splitting results are achieved.
