Mode-locked femtosecond dispersion-managed all-PM Er-doped fiber laser with a nonlinear amplifying loop mirror

Abstract

We demonstrate an all polarization-maintaining erbium-doped fiber laser at 1550 nm. Mode-locking is induced by a nonlinear amplifying loop mirror. The laser produces a 12 MHz train of linearly polarized, 1 nJ pulses.
