High-Q Resonance Implementation with Mini-scale High-index-contrast Grating on Silicon-on-insulator

Abstract

We demonstrate a high-Q resonance achieved on a mini-scale HCG (110 µm × 300 µm) with the measured Q of ~ 2420, revealing that in-plane energy leakage and finite-size effect will not destroy high-Q resonance.
