Gain Equalized Four Mode Groups Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier with LP01 Pump

Abstract

Using an erbium doped fiber with the optimized doping profile, we experimentally demonstrate an EDFA, which supports four mode groups. The measured differential modal gain is about 1dB.
