Demonstration of Compact Flow-Switching Accelerator for Virtual Machines Communication in PON Enable Data Center Network

Abstract

We demonstrate a flow-switching accelerator plugged into servers directly to accomplish low-latency data exchange between virtual machines for Passive-optical-network based data center network. The throughput reaches 32Gbps and latency varies from 389.0ns to 1230.6ns.
