Performance Enhancement of a Nonlinear VLC System Using Carrier Interferometry OFDM (CI-OFDM)

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate a performance enhancement scheme for a nonlinear visible light communication (VLC) system using carrier interferometry OFDM (CI-OFDM). Compared with conventional OFDM, 2dB SNR improvement is successfully achieved in the nonlinear modulation region.
