Random Degenerate-Mode-Mixing Independent OAM Mode-Group (De)multiplexing over a Graded-Index Ring-Core Fiber

Abstract

A mode-group (de)multiplexing scheme independent of random degenerate mode mixing in the fiber is proposed. Successful transmission of 2 multiplexed OAM MG over 1-km graded-index ring-core fiber is experimentally demonstrated by using this technique.
