Abstract

We propose a scheme that can avoid obstacles by using the parabolic trajectory of two-dimensional finite-energy Airy beams in order to extend application scenarios of free space optical communications. Two approaches for adjusting the Airy beam trajectory have been experimented, including shifting the location and changing the pattern of the phase mask. Results confirm that the applying of Airy beams can provide a bonus of larger obstacle size than conventional Gaussian beams.
