Transmission Performance of 5×112-Gb/s Super-Nyquist PDM-QPSK over Unrepeatered Raman-amplified Link

Abstract

We investigate the transmission performance of 5×112-Gb/s super-Nyquist PDM-QPSK over unrepeatered Raman-amplified link. All the results show that the optimum signal launch power is ~2dB lower for WDM than for single carrier transmission over 200-km unrepeatered Raman-amplified SSMF.
