Spatial-Mode Switchable, Multi-Wavelength All-Fiber EDF Laser Based on Low Modal Crosstalk Mode MUX/DEMUX

Abstract

We propose a spatial-mode switchable and multi-wavelength lasing all-fiber EDF ring laser based on Sagnac interferometer with mode MUX/DEMUX. We experimentally demonstrate that it has feasibility, can achieve multi-wavelength lasing and higher-order modes output. Single-, dual, triple-wavelength lasing for LP01, LP11, LP21 and hybrid modes are obtained with OSNR higher than 20-dB.
