Silicon Photonic Wavelength (De-)Multiplexer for Low-loss Flat-passband DWDM Applications

Abstract

A four-channel cascaded Mach-Zehnder wavelength (de-)multiplexer with a small channel spacing of 0.5 nm on SOI platform is demonstrated. The device has flat-passband and shows insertion loss lower than 0.5 dB and crosstalk below -18 dB.
