Mode-locked pulses in a multimode fiber laser

Abstract

We report a mode-locked multimode fiber laser based on SESAM at 1030 nm. The mode-locked pulses with central wavelength of 1028.1 nm and 1029.3 nm are generated. The pump power is as low as 460 mW. This is the first, to the best of our knowledge, generation of multimode pulses at such low pump power.
