Demonstration of Optical Direct-Detection OFDM Signal Amplified by Single Pump Fiber Optical Parametric Amplifier

Abstract

We demonstrate experimentally an optical direct-detection OFDM signal with phase mismatched single pump fiber optical parametric amplifier. The results show it can raise the data rate and OSNR up to 12.82 Gb/s and 16dB, respectively.
