Widely Tunable Single-mode Hybrid Square/Rhombus-Rectangular Lasers

Abstract

Hybrid square/rhombus-rectangular lasers are proposed and demonstrated. Single mode operation with a continuous wavelength tunable range of 25nm is realized with side mode suppression ratio (SMSR) > 30dB and the highest SMSR of 44dB.
