4Tb/s Faster-than-Nyquist WDM 16-QAM signal Transmission with Kramers-Kronig Detection

Abstract

We demonstrate faster-than-Nyquist WDM transmission of 4.096Tb/s (32×128Gb/s) 16-QAM signal with Kramers-Kronig detection. After 80km SSMF transmission, the BERs are all below 4.5×10-3, achieving net spectral efficiency of 4.04bit/s/Hz for single polarization 16-QAM signal.
