Abstract

We have achieved 32Gb/s PAM-4 data transmission for mobile fronthaul (MFH) system without complex DSP algorithm. The chirp managed laser (CML) formed by DML and optical spectrum resheper (OSR) filter realizes high tolerance against fiber dispersion. At the same time, we use bits-interleaving to reduce distortion in the process of rebuilding mobile radio signal from PAM-4 data transmitted through optical fiber, and realize -3 dB receiver sensitivity improvement after 25-km transmission.
