Abstract

An optical fiber sensor for the measuring of urine sugar and micro velocity simultaneously based on Mach-Zehnder interference (MZI) was proposed. The urine sugar sensitivity of the proposed sensor reaches up to 0.0047/g/dl under the urine sugar range of 0~0.2g/dl with a linear correlation coefficient of 99.68%. At the same time, the exact expression of the urine micro velocity can also be obtained.
