Exploiting Core-Switching to Minimize Fronthaul Degradation using Multicore Fiber

Abstract

Fronthaul connections carried by Multicore Fibers (MCFs) might experience different degradations if they are carried by different cores. This paper shows that switching fronthaul connections between the cores helps to minimizing the fronthaul service degradation.
