Security Performance of Polar Codes in UV Wireless Communications

Abstract

In this paper we investigate the performance of low-density parity-check (LDPC) and polar codes in ultraviolet (UV) communications system in terms of the bit-error-ratio (BER) for different link spans and security gap. We show that polar coded system enhanced the security performance compared to the system coded by LDPC in the UV communication systems.
