Abstract
In this paper, a simple, compact and high sensitivity fiber-optic inclinometer based on white-light interferometric measurement is proposed. The tilt angle applying on the inclinometer is obtained by measuring the length of the Fabry-Perot (F-P) cavity. Owing to the advantages of white-light interferometric measurement, high-resolution measurement of the tilt angle can be achieved. Experimental results show that the sensitivity 4.670 nm/″ can be achieved within the measurement range from 0″ to 1400″.
